For the last film in his Iberian trilogy, it seems fitting that Bigas Luna would turn to his home of Catalunya to connect it to the rest of Spain and show that the Catalans also deal with the typical Iberian trope of machismo. Por la última película en su trilogía ibérica, tiene sentido que Bigas Luna volvería a su comunidad autónoma natal de Catalunya para unirla con el resto de España y mostrarr que también los catalanes sufren del mismo tropo típico de Iberia de machismo. 

The 1994 La teta y la luna details the life of young Tete (Biel Durán), whose parents recently had another baby and he craves the breast milk his younger sibling is getting. He asks the moon to deliver him a breast to drink from, and then a French couple arrives with a woman he becomes fascinated with, played by Mathilda May. La película de 1994 La teta y la luna detalla la vida del joven Tete (Biel Durán), cuyos padres acaban de tener otro hijo y ahora anhela tener una madre para amamantarle como su hermano. Pide a la luna un pecho para darle leche, y justo después llega una pareja francesa con una mujer que le fascina, interpretada por Mathilda May. 

While criticizing Laura Mulvey’s male gaze (which is constantly seen in the film), the film also explores what it means to be from the Catalan region of Spain. The film is mostly in Catalan, and young Tete is preparing to take part in the castellers, which are the human pyramids famous in Catalunya. The dialogue shifts between Catalán, Spanish and French (the French woman speaks Spanish but not Catalán), representing how Catalan and Spanish is actually spoken in the zone. Mientras critica a la mirada masculina de Laura Mulvey (que constatamente exhiba en la pantalla), la peli también explora lo que significa ser de la zona catalana de España. La mayoría de la peli está en catalán, y el joven Tete está preparando para hacer los castellers, o los pirámides humanos famosos de Catalunya. El dialogo cambia entre catalán, castellano y frances (la francesa habla castellano pero no catalán), lo cual representa como se hablan catalán y castellano en la zona. 

Despite, or maybe because of, the bizarre plot, the film works and seems more mature than the first two films of the trilogy. A pesar de, o quizás por, el argumento extraño, es una buena peli y parece más madura que las primeras dos de la trilogía.
