The Leguineche family is back in the 1981 Spanish film Patrimonio Nacional directed by Valencian Luis García Berlanga. La familia Leguineche vuelve en la película española de 1981, Patrimonio Nacional, dirigido por valenciano Luis García Berlanga. 

It’s now 1977, and Franco has died. The Leguineche clan have arrived back in Madrid after 30 years of voluntary exile in Los Tejadillos. The monarchy is back, and they try to take their place among a royal family that is not really wanting anything to do them. They have to get loans despite debts and gain favour once again. Ya es el año 1977, y Franco está muerto. La familia Leguineche han vuelto a Madrid después de 30 años en un exilio voluntario en Los Tejadillos. La monarquía también ha vuelto, y la familia intenta volver a su sitio con una familia real que no quiere admitir que les conoce. También tienen que conseguir prestamos de dinero aunque están bastante en deuda y volver a la vida real y hacer amistades y enchufe otra vez. 

The film is more of the same of the first film. It has a few funny gags (which without knowing anything about Spain wouldn’t be funny). However, to be honest, it was a disappointment. I had been told that the trilogy was some of his best work, but it falls flat for me. It seems to feature the worst of Spanish caricatures. A few funny moments doesn’t make a funny or a good film. La película es más de lo mismo de la primera. Tiene sus momentos graciosos (que, si no sabes nada de España no te hacen gracia), pero para ser sincero, me decepcionó. Me habían dicho que la trilogía era de las mejores películas de Berlanga, pero para mi, no son tan buenas. Parece destacar lo peor de las caricaturas españolas. Unos momentos cómicos no hace una película ni buena ni cómica. 

It stars Luis Ciges, Luis Escobar, José Luis López Vázquez, Chus Lampreave, Amparo Soria Leal  and Agustín Gónzalez, among others. The script was co-written by Berlanga and Rafael Azcona. El reparto también incluye Luis Ciges, Luis Escobar, José Luis López Vázquez, Chus Lampreave, Amparo Soria Leal y Agustín Gónzalez, entre otros. Berlanga escribió el guión con Rafael Azcona. 

I can only hope that the third one is better.  Espero que la tercera sea mejor.
